"I recognize that as a foreign person in Ecuador, that I have little to no rights, but I recognize that even the people of Ecuador have less and less rights because of corporations like Occidental. It seems that it is becoming a disease prevalent in our world that corporations are being given more and more rights and privileges than we as people have and less and less of the responsibility. What that means is that we who are here today, the people who live on this earth, and our children are the ones paying the price."
