NCR paper, Telephone books/catalogs , Cardboard (flattened), Cartonboard such as cereal
boxes and 6-pack cartons, Brown paper bags, Egg cartons paperboard only, Shredded paper,
Frozen food packaging (without plastic microfilm layer), Soft cover books
Do not include:
Metal - Aluminum cans, Aluminum foil, Tin, steel and bi-metal cans,
Aerosol cans empty and without pressure, Metal food trays, Metal lids from jars, cans and bottles
Do not include:
Glass - Glass food and beverage containers including wine bottles

Plastic - NOTE: Although most companies advertise that they recycle all plastic
food and beverage containers marked with PET #1-#7, I have learned that only #1 & #2 plastics
are commonly recycled.

#1 Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) Soda bottles
Resins #3-#7 are included in very few community recycling programs.
According to the Missouri Waste Composition Study these resins comprise approximately
10.6% of municipal solid waste. However most of this waste is not practical to include in a
residential recycling program. The amount available from industrial sources and deconstruction
of house will vary from one community to another.
Yard debris - Grass clippings, leaves, weeds, brush and branches; bermuda grass okay, Prunings
less than 5' long and 2" in diameter, Christmas trees cut to fit in container (no flocking, tinsel, decorations or stand)
Do not include:
Compost - All Food,fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, shellfish, bones, rice, beans, pasta,
bread, cheese, and eggshells, Food-soiled Paper, waxed cardboard, napkins, paper towels, paper plates,
paper milk cartons, tea bags, coffee grounds/filters, wooden crates, and sawdust, Plants, floral trimmings,
tree trimmings, leaves, grass, brush, and weeds
